New Business:

• Parent Education series
• Summer group came up with suggestions for parent education series. The topics were prioritized by top five. Other suggestions are offered and members should see if the topics are ones they can present on or suggest presenters.
• Sean Hoar presented a request to host a panel about eating disorders. A hand vote supported the request. Information will be disseminated through the parent council e-news and website.
• Parent Council Blog is available on the website

Principal’s report – Randy

• Donation of $500 to parent council through Randy (YEAH!)
• Remember to buy a Chinook Book
• Basmati
• Links through Easy Grade Pro
• 12-15 teachers currently using and more daily. Math department will all be trained by Friday.
• Teacher’s will provide their student’s with passwords to access their grade reports. Passwords are case sensitive
• Student’s grades are posted for teachers who are using the program and the hope is that notes will get posted.

Financial report - Cindy

• Situation looks great but we don’t have all the details yet. Cindy is being trained by Fuzzi
• South is the top earning e-scrip school in the state.


Action Items

• Gifts are needed for guest presenters. If someone would like to help coordinate the gifts, please contact Helen.
• The parent council website is outdated. Please let Helen know if you have a few moments to review what is up there and to help with changes.

Parent Education Series

The topic for the evening was internet safety and teens. The event was well attended!
